Has your child come home and lost their home project assignment sheet? No worries, I will be posting a list of assignment by month so you can keep track of what projects they are to be working on at home.
Don't forget to log all of the books you read on your reading log!
January Home projects:
Week one: name writing
- Have your child practice writing their name at least 5 times and return to school Monday
Week Two: Mitten patterns
- Have your child pick two colors of markers or crayon and help them to create a visual pattern on a paper mitten.
Week Three: First Letter
- Have your child look for the first letter of their name in magazines and newspapers. Help them to cut out thier first letters and glue them on their Home project assignment sheet. Don't forget to have your child write their name on their work.
Week Four: Circle snowman
-Have your child find circles to trace. One small, one medium, one large. Trace and cut out the three circles and help them glue the circles together to create a snowman. Use objects you find around the house to decorate the snowman.
February Home projects:
Week One: Groundhog shadows
-watch the local new and see if the groundhog sees his shadow,record your observation and return to school
Week Two: Healthy Heart
-cut out your heart shape and glue on pictures or write word that start with the letter 'H'
Week Three: View from you window
-Look out a window of your house and draw a picture or write down what you see
March Home projects:
Week One: Jack and Jill
-practice the rhyme jack and Jill. Decorate your paper person any way you want.
Week Two: Map exploration
-look at both the United States map and the world map and mark anywhere your family has lived, or anywhere you might currently have family.
Week Three: design a flag
-work to design a flag that represents your family
